Swim
  • 12m 45s
  • 750 meters
  • 01m 42s / 100 meters
Comments:

this was a Quebec Cup race and the swimmers were quite strong. Lots of elbows flying. Hard course. I checked others times and they are all significantly slower than usual.

Start was not very well organized. 100 or so people leaving from deep water, in about a 30 feet corridor was brutal. They were supposed to do it in waves but didn't. The pack did not spread out very quickly.

What would you do differently?:

I don't think I pushed hard enough on swim, although my HR monitor says I did. But the stress did not help
Transition 1
  • 03m 12s
Comments:

Not bad this time around. Wetsuit got stuck on heels but much better than my first race.

The distance from water to bike track was loooong. Measured it, 350m from water to bike mount and 300m from bike un mount to run.
What would you do differently?:

Keep on practicing transitions and wet suit removal
Bike
  • 37m 46s
  • 20 kms
  • 31.77 km/hr
Comments:

Biking is my worst leg. I could never get "going" and was always afraid to burn myself out.
What would you do differently?:

Did not go in Aero enough. Found it much harder to be in aero position.
Transition 2
  • 01m 56s
Comments:

Pretty good
One slow swimmer blocked the transition areas, but that's maybe 10 seconds
Run
  • 22m 44s
  • 5 kms
  • 04m 33s  min/km
Comments:

Never really pushed
What would you do differently?:

Push harder, especially second half
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Exhaustion coming out from the swim.

Event comments:

Distance in transitions is too long
