Swim
Comments: First wave really mucked up the water. Couldn't see anything in the water. Ran up on a couple of swimmers, had others run up on me. Transition 1
Bike
Comments: Course was very technical. First lap had a few crowds. People spaced out more on second and third laps and I was able to get into lower gears for the hills. It sure didn't seem like an hour! Transition 2
Run
Comments: My legs didn't feel as heavy this time, but after 90 minutes, I realized I need some very long training sessions too. What would you do differently?: I can swim for 35 minutes. I can bike for an hour. I can run for 35 minutes...I rarely do them consecutively... Post race
Warm down: Find water, stop the world from spinning. Walk around for 15 minutes cheering on others. Event comments: Both my buddy and I plan to do this again next year. Last updated: 2005-09-06 12:00 AM

Pick up a buddy, drive an hour, eat a granola bar and drink a cup of coffee.
Get packet, get marked up (they even marked our AGE on our legs), set up camp
Try to keep my buddy (his first tri) psyched. This was my second, so I was trying to keep myself psyched too.
We were in wave 2, so had to clear the water for the first wave.
