![]() Swim
Comments: not a bad swim, not as good as last week, but drifted a little more, so the navigation wasn't quite as tight as last week. What would you do differently?: navigate better ![]() Transition 1
Comments: on the official results, both transitions are in the bike time. however, I had my watch, so have a good handle on the first transition. The second is a bit more guess work, since I forgot to hit the button from the bike until I left T2 on the run, but I have a pretty good idea. ![]() Bike
Comments: good ride. played leap frog with another ride a good bitof the way. Kept just outside the 3 bike length limit and when he slowed down a bit, would sling shot around him and he would get outside the draft zone until i went to slow, and around he'd go. passed everyone on the bike that passed me (except my leapfrog partner who finished just ahead of me), caught a bunch of people What would you do differently?: not much. left it out on the course ![]() Transition 2
Comments: this went by realy quickly. What would you do differently?: nothing ![]() Run
Comments: started out ahead of my friend, but he caught me about 1/2 mile in. Stayed with him for the rest of the run. couldn't quite catch him. If I had, I would be in 3rd for the age group. 5 seconds separated us overall, 11 seconds on the run. only thing I didn't do was projectile vomit on him to make him slow down :). Just after the turn around, I passed William and he said "you're in 12th overall, pick it up!" Funny boy. What would you do differently?: learn to projectile vomit on the guy in front of me. ![]() Post race
Warm down: tried not to throw up on my friends. got some vitamin water and eventually a bannana after I was sure it would stay down. Visited with all of the people that I knew that were racing What limited your ability to perform faster: genetics, training. Trainng is coming along, so we'll focus on that :) Event comments: This is a good local race. How local? Well they don't use timing chips. Almost everyone knows everyone else. Best kind of race there is (would be nice if they had timing chips) Last updated: 2009-08-08 12:00 AM
