Comments: still thought I was faster. What would you do differently?: practice Run
Comments: Ok, I errored the day before and didn't wear socks on the run. This day my feet broke down. I was in a great deal of discomfort from sores on my feet and was running in blood it was not pretty. It slowed me down. I took my shoes off and had to pour blood out. YUCK. What would you do differently?: higher cadence Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Painful feet. Slow run Event comments: I chose the DLT site for the hills and to challenge myself on doing a double. I learned a great deal. The folks at these Arkansas events were just wonderful and willing to give advise on hill work. The things I learned. 1. Sprints I can go sockless on the run. (anything longer no) 2. Bike olympic sockless YES 3. Need to work on higher cadence on hills. (bike and run) 4. Shift on the bike just as I top the hill. Don't relax keep going. 5. I was capable of doing the double. I am not sore the next day. Feet hurt tho. 6. I can go faster. Last updated: 2009-08-11 12:00 AM
