Comments:

Comments:

Took a ton of time
What would you do differently?:

Take less time
Bike
  • 39m 22s
  • 9 miles
  • 13.72 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt terrible, kept hitting the shifter with my knees and just wasnt working very well. Legs were burning the whole way, i got fed up with the shifting so i was going up hills in high gear, not a good idea!
What would you do differently?:

Use a different bike, i need a better bike, this one was just too old, heavy and unresponsive, i should have worn my glasses but i forgot about them so it was alittle hard to see things...
Transition 2
  • 00m
Comments:

I biked with the shoes i was using for the run, this transition was much better. I literally got off my bike took off my helmet and stated running, very quick. I liked not having to change shoes!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing
Run
  • 23m 3s
  • 2.65 miles
  • 08m 42s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt awesome, might have had more energy at the end then i should have. I ended more muscle tired then aerobic tired, which is a great sign.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe pick up the pace at the end more
Post race
Warm down:

just walked around drank alot of water and accelerade and stretched legs

What limited your ability to perform faster:

My bike was alittle out-dated (heavy and poor components), and my legs are not strong enough, need to train for the bike more and strengthen legs

Event comments:

The race (once it got going), was fine, the course was shorter then indicated. The run was like 2.65mi not 3, not sure about the swim or the bike though. The bike course had alot of incline, which wasnt good for me, but overall it was a good first experience.

Waited probably 5-10 seconds before i started to let people spread out. Time probably should have been sub 5 min. I took ALOT of time at the transition to the bike too, didnt rush at all, probably could have cut at least 1 min off that time also
