Swim
Comments: Good swim. Started slightly to the left of the pack. No contact with a straight line to the bouy. I got to the first bouy with 2 others they went about 10' outside and I went to the inside and never saw then again. It felt I was swimming alone. On the way back the sun was in my eyes making it difficult to see the dock. Time includes run to transition, I was out of the water in 9.45. What would you do differently?: Not much sighting was good, never went off course once. Transition 1
Comments: Speed bumps right out of transition so you could not put your feet in your shoes until you past them. What would you do differently?: Nothing, second fastest transition overall. Bike
Comments: Crappy bike split. It seemed like I was putting out lots of effort for the speed I was going. Again it felt like I was all by myself. There was one guy about a .25 miles ahead of me that I never cought up to. I was passed by one person at mile 11 (turns out he won first overall). I was hoping for atleast 22.5 to 23. I have only been on the bike a few times in the last couple of weeks but thats not really an excuse. What would you do differently?: Ride harder. Transition 2
Comments: Brain freeze. Don't know what happened. For some reason or another I didn't do a flying dismount. Also met mama bear working in transition. Had a nice little chat with her while I was putting on the run gear. Even the anouncer thought it was funny that I was talking to her while in transition. What would you do differently?: Flying dismount. Run
Comments: Not to bad considering I suck at running and have not been running. My foot started to hurt on vacation and I did not get new shoes until I got back home. Ran in my new shoes for the first time at the race, 2 small blisters on the feet because of it. What would you do differently?: Not have a hurt foot and train more before the race. Not wear new shoes for the first time in a race. Post race
Warm down: Drank water and gatoraide. Watch the others finish. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training over the last month. Event comments: Great race as usual. Organized and on time. Good food and a friendly atmosphere. Last updated: 2009-08-11 12:00 AM

Woke up at 04:00. Eat 2 scrambled eggs and 2 pieces of whole wheat toast and a cup of coffee for the road. Loaded up the bike and drove 1 hour to the race.
Not much, swam half way out to the first bouy and back.
