Comments: Started off with my desired pace for first two miles, then dropped off it a bit. My goal pace was 8:27 miles to carry me thru a sub one-hour finish. My mind and body still wants me to slow down to carry me thru more miles. What would you do differently?: Train a little better for a 7-mile race, so can better judge a pace to keep for a goal time. But, overall happy with a PR in this race Post race
Warm down: Walked around, stretched, had a couple waters and clam chowder (served to everyone at finish line). What limited your ability to perform faster: My mind telling me to slow down the pace. Event comments: A very nice course to run. Last updated: 2009-08-14 12:00 AM

Had a little larger breakfast, knowing the race would not be until 1pm. Had coffee, orange juice, bagel and cream cheese with a cheese omelet.
Normal stretching and a little jogging.
