I was using my hybrid bike. Need to get tuned up. Would love to get a road bike to make the bike portion a little easier!

It was very hot and humid out at this point, and the newly paved black asphault and no shade made the run a lot harder. But it was a flat course.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

If I had a road bike, it would have made the bike leg a little easier. Also, if i hydrated more and took more electrolytes, the run might have a little easier.

Event comments:

It was a good race. A little repetitive with the bike course being 2 loops out an out and back, and then the run mainly along the same course (so you passed most places on the course at least 5 times). And more drink stations would have been nice, especially since it was so hot and humid out. But overall, an good race.
