Swim
Comments: I am pretty happy with my swim, considering I only swim once a week and have done no open water swims this year, other than the races I've done. I was very pleased that I didn't have my typical freak out session. I started out a lot slower which seemed to work. Transition 1
Comments: I was 1st out of T1 in a/g Bike
Comments: I was happy with how I did on the bike, I would have liked to win it but I did my best and came in 3rd. Transition 2
Comments: I was 10th in T2 for a few reasons. I ran out of water on the bike so drank some water in transition. I also realized I didnt put sunscreen on my face so had to search for it in my bag and apply it. Lastly I kept my cycling shoes on coming into T2 because the road, or path, we rode in on was narrow, bumpy, and full of pot holes. I had no expectations going into this race so was willing to give up a little time, especially for the sunscreen issue. Run
Comments: This was the part I was dreading. What used to be my best segment has become my worst because of my multiple injuries this summer. I could only maintain an 8:30/mi pace, which is my MRP, but was actually quite pleased with that- I expected much worse. What would you do differently?: I did the best I could considering a summer of running injuries. Post race
Event comments: We got awesome awards- a bottle of wine, a wine glass, and a gift certificate to FK. Way better than a carved wooden duck:) Last updated: 2009-08-19 12:00 AM

Got up at 4 freaking 30 in the morning, and drove to Wburg with Barb. Had my normal whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and a Red Bull.
Did a swim warmup. Had a brand new full sleeve wetsuit (replacement for my 2XU that ripped) that I had never worn before- it rocks. Easier to get on and doesnt cause that scab on the back of my neck.
