Swim
Comments: Horrific... I was ready for this and then screwed up by swimming off to the right and didn't notice until about 200 yards in... UGG. Added a good 50 yards and...lost my breathing. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to the swim direction at the start! Transition 1
Comments: Back to being wiped out after the swim.... grrrrrrr. Lost a solid minute here.. What would you do differently?: It's all about getting the swim squared away. Bike
Comments: I worked the bike hard after the horrible swim... kinda thought I'd done better than my time but...not bad What would you do differently?: More bike speed training. Transition 2
Comments: Need to knock 15-20 seconds off this T What would you do differently?: Next year, new bike shoes that are easier to run in... Run
Comments: Hills were deceptive. What would you do differently?: Hoping my Plantar Fasciitis is gone for next year so I can train for the run... Happy my time isn't too bad considering no run training this summer. Post race
Warm down: Stretching, hydrating..packing up. My son took first place in the 0-19 Males category! What limited your ability to perform faster: More training needed. Event comments: A nice way to finish the season - not especially difficult course but a need to have a good strategy and carry it out! Beautiful area and a perfect day weatherwise! Drove down that morning...later start allowed for a DD Coffee and breakfast sandwich! Set up Transition and hoped it would warm up a bit...
Able to pull on the wet suit and swim for 10 minutes. Also, went for a few miles on the bike out to the course.
