Swim
Comments: The waves were much bigger than I expected. Swimming is my strongest leg. However, I had issues sighting. Had to stop and breastroke twice in order to get my bearings. Transition 1
Comments: Better than expected. I was nervous about the transitions, but the wetsuit came off without a problem. Tossed on the shoes and hemet and was off. What would you do differently?: Bike
Comments: This was my first Tri and the first time ever racing on a bike. It went well. This was my best leg of the day. What would you do differently?: Practice more. I spent more time trainign for the swim and run. Defintely need to amp up the time on the bike. Plenty of room for improvement Transition 2
Comments: No issues to speak off. Need to work on jumping off the bike. Run
Comments: Beach run was fun. It was nice to be able to see the finish line from a distance. Helped keep me going!!!! What would you do differently?: Practice more. Need to break the 10 minute mile mark!!!!! Post race
Event comments: This was my first Tri, so hard to judge. Registration line was very long and delayed race start. Fortunatey, I was very early and had no issue. The race itself seemed very organized. Bike course was well marked, run was fun on the beach. Last updated: 2009-08-24 12:00 AM
