Swim
  • 31m 32s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 55s / 100 yards
Comments:

Damn goggles fogged up. Could not navigate well. Go a new pair that did not fog, but leak. Need new ones that don't either.
What would you do differently?:

new goggles, train to swim faster now that I have endurance down. Did not reach goal of 27 minutes
Transition 1
  • 02m 3s
Comments:

don't feel confident running barefoot and putting on shoes while riding yet.
What would you do differently?:

need some more silicone spray for suit to come off faster. Still was a good transition time compared to other races. ran out of water and to bike.
Bike
  • 1h 09m 17s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 21.52 mile/hr
Comments:

go penalized for drafting. Thought was bogus. Kept passing one guy and he would pass me. When behind I tried staying to the left to stay out of his draft. Guess they though differently. My time stated on his is minus the penalty.
What would you do differently?:

be faster. But my bike is my strongest. I ranged 30th overall on this! My goal was 24 mph though.
Transition 2
  • 01m 16s
What would you do differently?:

learn how to jump off bike with shoes still in pedals and me barefoot.
Run
  • 55m 13s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 53s  min/mile
Comments:

terrible, terrible run! I focused on this for the past 2 months. Pretty much bonked on the run. I really, really need to get faster. Maybe I put too much effort in the bike? So I don't have enough for run after? This run hurt. Needed to walk a couple of times. I also felt bloated, maybe I was dehydrated. Stopped at an aid station and had some gatoraid. Seemed to perk up after that. But I don't run and drink too well. Side aches and sloshing.
What would you do differently?:

train more for running i guess. be lighter. Running is my biggest challenge for some reason. I give up a lot of places because I am not running in the 7 min. per mile range.
Post race
Warm down:

strectched, walked, had to ride bike back up to francis- brutal. McDonalds, watched a movie.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

running for sure!

Event comments:

I really wish people would mark the mile markers on runs more accurately. It's like they mark a couple markers, and forget about a bunch in the middle. Really hard to determine what the pace is.
