Run
Comments: More like 5.5km, actual pace 8:25min/mi according to Garmin Transition 1
Comments: Mounting area was really congested Bike
Comments: Passed quite a lot of people. Could have been faster on the big downhill but this girl in front of me from the tri was quite slow and blocking in the middle of the lane. It would have been too dangerous to pass on the steep downhill, with oncoming cyclists, so I just slowed down and kept my distance behind her. Which explains why max speed was only 50.9kph. On disc wheel, bike speed avg over 32.2kph according to Garmin Transition 2

Warm down: Walked straight to the food - melons, grapes, bananas, bagels with cream cheese and a couple of slices of pizza with root beer. Event comments: Excellent picturesque venue. Transition setup was much better than previous yr. Can't ask for more beautiful weather. But competition in my AG was tough. If I were in the F40-44, I'd be 2nd. If I were in F30-34, I'd have won. For some reason, my F45-49 had the most competitors, and I only managed 5th. But my bike split was good, 2nd fastest overall women! My usual Mcd coffee and muffin for breakfast on the 95' drive. Hubby drove this time, arrived there an hr before race.
A few strides.
