Run
Comments: Really enjoyed this run...the miles passed quickly (until the last 1.6, when I was getting pretty tired). This is the first race Ive ever done with my Garmin. Was curious how my HR would be in a race. HR was actually lower than I thought it would be, and pretty consistent with avg176 max182. GU at mile 7 and again at mile 10. Seemed to work well, only drank water on the course, which is a first for me. I usually drink Gatorade. So, that said, probably could have used one more GU. What would you do differently?: actually train for a half, instead of just deciding to do it out of the blue. Post race
Warm down: just alot of walking around, trying to find those Donkeys already finished (Ben and Lisa!) and wait to cheer in those that hadn't finished. Jim, Pete, Ross. Met Kevin and his wife, and talked to a couple friends who I worked with at main campus. What limited your ability to perform faster: did not really train for it, and some L hip pain, neither which affected the outcome! Event comments: Definitely a do over next year! PR'd by about 45 seconds or so!! (I had a goal to PR...) Last updated: 2009-09-01 12:00 AM
