Comments: I had a hard time getting my feet in the shoes because the tongue kept falling in the way. Also had to put on the rade belt with my number took longer than I had hoped. Run
Comments: BIG CRAMP IN THE FIRST 500METERS. Apparently I have a had time with the transition to running. Maybe I work to hard on the bike... or maybe I need to work on my running. Either way the cramp made me walk for about 100 m which was totaly deflating. I felt like crap and didn't hydrate adequatly for the run. It was insanely hot and humid though. What would you do differently?: Hydrate better on the bike and maybe try and take it easy on the last 1/2 mile of the bike to get the legs feeling better. To improve my run I need to focus on my race and not worry about being overtaken. Post race
Warm down: Lay on back and drink 4 bottles of water... Basicaly everything wrong. What limited your ability to perform faster: HEAT AND HUMIDITY!! Pushed to hard on the bike and got into a big traffic jam on the swim thanks to the guy who tried to pass me but didn't then came over in the lane basicaly on top of me... Thaks buddy I'm pulling you down next time. Event comments: No shirt?!?! What the heck!! I got a freekin water bottle. I could have done without the band and hamburgers (which I didn't eat) and taken a shirt. Thanks to Saint Arnold for the beer though good call. Last updated: 2009-09-05 12:00 AM

I volunteered for the youth tri and was on the bike course all the way up to the begining of our tri so no pre race routine I barely even stretched.
