Comments:

4 minutes between waves was not enough, and peoples sportsmanship was terrible, I was getting slammed, crashed, kicked, the entire, 38 minutes I was swimming. Give me a break people, if you were any good you would not be in my wave, the one before or after, you would be in the Elite Group or Pro, so act like an adult and have fun.

The water temp was perfect for a wetsuit, not too hot not too cold
What would you do differently?:

Let everyone go, stay in back, get on the far outside or inside and swim fast. Let speed dictate who will be in what position, not a ridiculous melee.

I think USTA should require bib numbers to be on swim cap and DQ anyone that swims over the top of another swimmer.

I have swam Alcatraz 7 times and am a strong swimmer, let me do that to me, I kick, punch and dunk them right back! There is no excuse for it, it is faster to swim around and you can see them underwater. I would understand if you were an elite or a Pro and there was prize money on the line.

Comments:

The biggest worst potholes I have ever seen on a race course in my life, creating the most dangerous course I have ever seen. I saw crashes all over the place. SHAME ON THE CITY OF CHICAGO! They have Millions to put their Nazi Cams on every light pole in the city arbitrarily mail people traffic tickets, but refuse to spend 50 bucks to fix pot holes, pointed out to them and requested of them by the race directors, as is standard in any race. I AM A POLICE OFFICER AND I CAN SAY WHAT A BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS. I did not crash, but anyone that did, please sue the City of Chicago, as they can not claim immunity like they usually can under a discretionary error exceptions in the law. This is terrible for them to do this to people.
What would you do differently?:

Never race again in Chicago IL, where the Nazi's that run that city would rather make sure you get a traffic ticket, even if it is wrong by a computer, than spend the equivilent of one cent to ensure your safety!

Screw them, and they actually think they should be given the 2016 Olympics? What a joke, want to bet in China they fixed the pot holes before the Olympics?

How can those scumbags at city hall claim they have no money to fix a pot holes and then spend millions on the most extensive computerized Nazi Auto Camera system in the country that auto mails ticket to everyone, half of which are not even correct in the first place?

On of the top Pro's Andy Potts was even hurt badly in a bad bike crash.

Spend you money and race in a City like San Francisco that cares enough about you to make sure you are going to be safe.
