Swim
Comments: stood in line about 1 1/2 hours before getting in the pool. They need more organization or better strategy for this swim. Felt pretty comfortable. I have only been training to maintain and not really working on speed. much fast than last year. Transition 1
Comments: cool air felt good since the pool was warm. quick change. grabbed a gel since i didn't have one on me in line waiting for the pool Bike
Comments: legs felt pretty dead throughout. I was slower by about 5 minutes what i thought i could do. Climbing was horrible. Hills killed me as usual. I need to drop 15 pounds and get my butt time in the saddle. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good. My 2 1/2 year old daughter came running over to me as i was putting my shoes on and yelled "Daddy, run fast". Gave her a kiss and off i went. Run
Comments: Cramps. Huge dimple cramp in my right calf. took about 3 minutes to work it out, and another 5 or so before i could run normally. By that point, i was well past able to get my goal time. Got to mile 3 and made it a point to not get passed, and succeeded with that. Post race
Warm down: walked around, watched door prize drawings (didn't win anything) saw results and got mad about it. Event comments: i'll give it one more year to figure out how to organize the swim better since i am local. it was better than last year, but we shouldn't have been standing in line that long. should have had someone calling numbers to get ready to get in the pool. gonig to train for spring marathon and train the hell out of the bike this winter. the bike is my friend.
