Pre-race routine:

Arived early. Setup Transition, walk around check out transition and swim area. Ate 1 GU 15 mins before the swim start.
Event warmup:

None other than walking around and walking to swim start.
Swim
  • 24m 17s
  • 1640 yards
  • 01m 29s / 100 yards
Comments:

Swam to fast based on HR and exaustion level at swim exit.
What would you do differently?:

Slow down/ better Paceing
Transition 1
  • 01m 56s
Comments:

First time with the swim skin. It came off easily. Everything went great untill the my flying bike mount mishap. When I steped on the shoe and swung other leg over the bike, my foot slipped off the shoe and I nearly wiped out. Shoe then came unclipped from the pedal. Had to then turn around, pick up the shoe, put the shoe on then mount bike the standard way. Overall only cost me some dignity and a couply second on the clock.
What would you do differently?:

Pay more attention on the flying mount.
Bike
  • 1h 15m 10s
  • 26.1 miles
  • 20.83 mile/hr
Comments:

Rode pretty slow. Trying to recover from the swim and get HR down. Intent was to slow down on the bike and recover to save energy for a good run.
What would you do differently?:

Better Pacing on the swim, so I would not have to hold back as much on the bike.
Transition 2
  • 01m 3s
Comments:

Transition went well.
What would you do differently?:

I did take the time to put on socks befor the run. I need to get comfortable running 10K wothout socks to save a some time in this transition.
Run
  • 51m 59s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 22s  min/mile
Comments:

Well dispite holding back on the bike I still had horible stomach issues on the run. I acount this to pushing to hard on the swim. First four miles was ridiculously slow. After the first four my stomach pains subsided and I then felt great, and ran the last two at a normal pace.
What would you do differently?:

Better pacing on the swim & more run training.
Post race
Warm down:

None

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Stomach issues, I believe to be a result from pushing to hard during the swim.

Event comments:

This being by 3rd tri (2nd olympic) I am still trying to work out the kinks with regards to pacing.
