Swim
Comments: I think this course was short. It felt pretty easy because it was a simply out and back. No real sighting needed. What would you do differently?: I was nervous because the air was probably still in the high 50s/low 60s at swim start time, and I don't have a wetsuit. But the water was warm, and I actually was glad I didn't have to struggle with the wetsuit for such a short swim. Transition 1
Comments: Long run across the beach and up a ramp onto the boardwalk, then to transition area. What would you do differently?: I just need to run faster! Bike
Comments: Good ride - this is a good race pace for me and felt comfortable. What would you do differently?: I think I could have passed a few more people - at times, the course was tight. Transition 2
Comments: Good What would you do differently?: Normal transition Run
Comments: A good run for me - I ran most if it and only walked at the water stops. What would you do differently?: I kicked it for the last few hundred yards - I could have kicked it in earlier. Post race
Warm down: Met up with my sister and had a post race banana. I had to go to work immediately so I didn't have much hang out time. What limited your ability to perform faster: Overall, I think this was my best race of the season. And I got 3rd place for Athenas! Yippee! Yeah, I know there weren't many Athenas, but I'll still celebrate my victory. Event comments: A good well run race. Very organized and clearly communicated. Last updated: 2009-09-13 12:00 AM

I did this one solo - no friends/family were running. My sister came to cheer me on, but did not get there until halfway through the race. Had to drive about 1 hour to the race at 5 am.
I think there were more signed up for the race than showed up. It was 48 degrees when I got there at 6 am. BRRRR! It quickly warmed up, but man, was it cold!
