Pre-race routine:

had a hour long drive to get there, wasn't bad, no traffic that early in the morning. unloaded set-up transition, blah, blah....
Event warmup:

Not much of a warm-up. swam approx 200m to get loose but water was preety cold it didn;t feel like much of a warm-up.

Although I have improved my pace by 1 min/mile since June I still suck at running. This is my Achilles Heel. was within reach of top 5 in AG but couldn't keep my feet moving as usual.

run better.

Overall I really liked the race. I'm definitely going to do it again next year and recommend to friends as well. They were very professional and organized, which always makes for a good race.

Course: First ocean swim ever. I was a little worried at first but once I got passed the surf the water was pretty calm. This was actually my best pace of the season.

Course: Flat and Fast. I thought maybe they could have planned the course a little different to eliminate so many turns and swept the corners of the loose sand. Overall, it wasn't horrible but just a suggestion.
