Swim
Comments: This was interesting. I think that I took 5 or 6 strokes of actual freestyle. Being around everyone in the swim was an experience. 11 minutes for a swim is just oo long. What would you do differently?: Get to the outside away from people to get more into a rhythm. Need to spend more time in the pool and get a more efficient stroke. Transition 1
Comments: Wetsuit came off easily. Overall I think everything went well. What would you do differently?: Work on multi tasking. Getting suit off and helmet on at the same time. Bike
Comments: I starting to get some cramps on the bike at about mile 6 or 7. Maybe was pushing a little too hard. 12 in my age group on the bike. I was happy with that. What would you do differently?: Get my fitness up to avoid cramping. Transition 2
Comments: Had to put on socks which slowed me down. The one time I tried to train w/o socks, I got a blister. Everything was soaked from the rain which also didn't help. OVerall though I was happy. What would you do differently?: Work on running without socks to speed transitions on sprint distance races. Run
Comments: Not a bad run. I just want to go so much faster. It was my PR 5K but I just feel like I can do more. What would you do differently?: Train more. Get my running to where I want it to be. Post race
Warm down: Thried not to have a heart attack. I finished my first tri. Let it all soak in! What limited your ability to perform faster: Training Event comments: What a great experience. Finishing my first race! I was telling my self in the days before the race that I would be happy with under 1:45 and I really wanted sub 1:30. Came out with 1:26 so I was ecstatic. Also, my girlfriend and training partner too 2nd in her AG in her first race so that just made the day. Last updated: 2009-09-18 12:00 AM

Not too much. Ran for about 5 minutes. Did some stretching. Ran up the boat ramp from the swim exit to T1.
