Run
Comments: Ok, this was longer than two miles. They claimed 2.1, but my Garmin said 2.39 and Map My Run said 2.4, so you do the math. I also know my Garmin had me at a 8:35 avg pace. I KNOW I was running a lot faster than a 10:00 pace. Transition 1
Comments: swapped out sneakers and cap for hemet, bike shoes and sunglasses. Bike
Comments: I was in the narrow tire division. This was a pretty good time for me considering there were hills. Certainly better than any training run. I had the second fastest time in my AG (by 40 seconds, darn!). Was also faster than the three who place ahead of me. Clearly my run needs work (on it!). Transition 2
Comments: bike shoes, helmet, sunglasses off. Sneakers and cap on. Run
Comments: I was definitely a bit slower on this run leg. I've joined the NYRR and taking a class with them so hopefully next year I will be a bit faster. Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: This was my first year doing any kind of racing and triathlons. I also have an appt. to look into EIA (exercise induced asthma). I seem to get a sever tightness in my chest and wheeziness especially on my runs. NOt sure what the diagnoses will be, but hoping that if I do have EIA we'll get it under control so I can work harder. Event comments: This was pretty well organized I felt. It started on time. I think the distance on the run was wrong, but whatever, it was the same for everyone. This was my first time doing this race and I enjoyed it. I am pretty happy with my finish, but hope to place next year. Last updated: 2009-09-21 12:00 AM

Bagel with PB, rode my bike over to the park, about 4 blocks away. Racked in and got my chip. Took a short warm-up run...waited.
