Swim
Comments: Lots of waves as the wind was coming off the lake. Got a mouth full of water a few times. That was th 1st time I swam through waves like that. They had white caps. The up and down feeling was weird but it didnt bother me. What would you do differently?: Train more for the swim. I hadn't swum since August. My time was still respectable though but I know it could be faster if I trained a little bit. Transition 1
Comments: I think I have getting the wet suit off on my into transiton pretty good. I had it peeled 1/2 way down my body before I got to my spot. I was able to get it the rest of the way off easily. I decided to eat a gel here. I had pre-opened before the race started. Apparently I didn't rip the top off far enough down cause I could only get a little bit to come out. I decided to ditch it because I didn't want to waste more time with it. What would you do differently?: Next time I will eat the gel while on my bike. looking back it doesn't make sense to me to waste time doing it in transition when I could do it just as easily on the bike. Bike
Comments: Again, I hadn't ridden since my last race in Aug. More time in the saddle and I know my bike split will drop. What would you do differently?: Nothing. I think I had a pretty comfortable pace. I didn't want to push to hard on the bike since I hadn't ridden in a while. Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good T2. My shoes folded under when I slid then on so I had to adjust. Lost a sec or 2 there but over all I am pleased with my T2, What would you do differently?: Nothing Run
Comments: I used to be a BOPer on the run but I have really concentrated on this protion of the race. I am training for a 1/2 marathon. I did have to walk a short distance. I dont know if it was cramps or not but the muscle on the inside of my thighs just above my kness really started to hurt. It felt awefull!! I decided to walk a bit. It actually hurt more to walk than it did to run so I started running again. Eventually the pain went away. Not totally away but enough so that it din't bother me. What would you do differently?: Nothing Post race
Warm down: Wlaked a bit and got some food. They had Pizza and Quizno's subs afterwards :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training Event comments: Over all it is a great event. I would definately do this race again next year. Last updated: 2009-09-22 12:00 AM

Got there early and it was cold out! I so glad I brought a wind suit. I still a little chilly in that. My pre-race routine consisted of walking around and chatting with people I know.
None. Probably a mistake. I did jump around a bit but that was to keep warm.
