Pre-race routine:

UP at 5, ate (2) boiled eggs and drank 16 oz pomengraten juice, loaded up and left hotel to set-up for race. Picked up chip, marked and set up transition

Chatted w/ other racers from my area, light stretch, quick swim to warm up

On hindsight, I should have quicken my cadence for a faster swim time.

Living in South Louisiana where it's flat and I mean flat. I was not prepared for any inclines and these were just hills; so as a beginner biker I felt pretty good overall about my bike time.
What would you do differently?:

I have been biking for 8 weeks now, so continue to gain experience with seat time over the winter months.

Problem racking bike (box style); Right shoe on good, left she insole pushed up, take shoe off, get insole striaght, foot back in grab shirt and visor took off steps..calves tight

Wife found me for a kiss and gather w/ locals to drink some water and a few draft beers, a couple of meat pies, more beer and award ceremony, drove home

I'll do this race again, to see how I have improved...
