Comments: Ground too rough to run with shoes on. What would you do differently?: Should have ran in socks with shoes on pedals and put shoes on after the long grass run. Bike

Comments: Run was hilly but race website said its flat. They said that the race course was last years. Quad locked up on the first short steep hill then hamstring locked up at mile 4. Had to walk up hills for a few miles. Tripped on roots going through woods. Ran out of water and heed was all they had. Didn't ever do heed before. What would you do differently?: Train for hills Post race
Warm down: jumped in lake. Aaaaahhhh What limited your ability to perform faster: Poor hydration and lack of training on hills. Ankle injury limited run training so I needed a flat course. Setup had this race listed as easy in 09 and flat run, but its not flat. A little more hill training I would have been OK ,but I sure wasn't looking for those hills.
