Swim
Comments: water was flat as a pancake, easy and fast swim. mass start from beach led to mosh pit battle to the rounding of the first buoy, mellowed out after that. visibility was fair, a bit murky. Transition 1
Comments: transition was slow What would you do differently?: the sock thing slows me down. gotta come up with a better way to put on those socks. Bike
Comments: lots of people got flats, nature of the beast here in hawaii - road debris all over. good traffic control. fast course. What would you do differently?: glasses somehow fogged up in the helmet waiting there in the racks, so ditched them. eyes were tearing on the course, so wish I had my glasses. Transition 2
Comments: ok transition Run
Comments: slow on the run due to blisters I got the training run day before. blasted new socks somehow caused blisters. I have no idea how that happened, but the pain was killing me. course must have been short, because I was not running sub 7 min/mi What would you do differently?: dont wear new socks on the run the day before Post race
Warm down: not much, stood around drank, ate, talked What limited your ability to perform faster: BLISTERS Event comments: Haleiwa tri is a cool community sprint, lots of fun with good turnout. many doing tri's for the first time. will be back next year. Last updated: 2009-10-04 12:00 AM
