Run
Comments: I ran with Dan pacing me and we kept a 8:00 min pace for the first few miles and then tried to take it to 7:50 pace for the balance. A little after the turn I felt a gain in strenth and picked up the pace. Later I started having some significant fatigue around mile 10-11 but mile 12 was particularly hard since it was mostly uphill. I pushed it really hard on the last mile and I finished strong. What would you do differently?: Nothing but continue to train as I have been doing and do the race again next year. This was a 10 minute PR over last years race so I am pretty happy with it. Post race
Warm down: Walked, got some fluids and food and stretched before getting on the shuttle back to the start. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing that I can think of. Event comments: Thanks to Dan for helping me with my pacing. Last updated: 2009-10-08 12:00 AM

Ate two granola bars and some chocolate covered almonds about 6am. I had a gel 15 mins before the race.
I did a 5-min warmup at about 8 min pace with Dan.
