Comments:

I was using this race as a gage for my HIM next month. I started out pretty solid, but was able to hold a conversation the first 8 miles. At mile 8 my friend told me to go ahead because his knee hurt and he said I was looking strong. I ended up running the last 2 miles in 12 minutes. I think I may have blown up if I was not pacing with my friend, but all together I was 5 min faster than my original goal.
What would you do differently?:

push harder. I need to learn my limits
Post race
Warm down:

beer/ bananna/burger/beer

Event comments:

I have not ran many races, but this was a great experiance and was well worth the 60 I paid for signing up at the last minute

Course: Nice flat course that has a few turns at the beggining then straightens out to set cruise control. There was plenty of sidewalk at the start to get around slower people.
