Comments: Took a hammer gel at the turn with a cup of H20. Knew I had a good pace going compared to training. Felt good so went with it. A little worried at mile 5 so I backed off a bit. What would you do differently?: Nothing....very pleased to drop 5+ minutes from my 1/2 mary last year. Similar course (ie rails to trails...flat). Post race
Warm down: Stretching and walking. What limited your ability to perform faster: I think I will start closer to the front next time. If I run 8min pace and start behind 10 people running the same pace..no chance to pass them...by simply starting in front of them I should finish before them. I always start conservatively...maybe be more aggressive. Event comments: Nice race, well organized and plenty of volunteers. Always good when PRs abound! Last updated: 2009-10-10 12:00 AM
