Pre-race routine:

Woe 3 hours before race. Drank tea and ate scone with Jam, Peanutbutter, Honey, and Banana. Drank some fruit juice.

Comments:

Took it slowly for the first half. Just got into a zone, felt I could go harder, but wanted to have some left for the second half. When I hit 21K I picked up the pace until I hit 32 and hit the wall around 34K. 32-40K my pace dropped to 6min/k. I need to build up my running distance to 45K I think. The last 2K I dug deep and pushed hard. Crossed the finish line on the verge of tears, but totally full of gratitude and appreciation. God has truly given me a second chance.
What would you do differently?:

Absolutely nothing. Feel great about everything.

Just walked around for about 30min.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I think my threshhold was around 32-34. After that I had a really hard time.

Event comments:

Excellent race. This one will likely make it onto my yearly race list.

Performance: Good
Course: Beautiful course. Absolutely georgious. Well organized event. Lot's of volunteers. Aid stations every 3-5K. No gels so needed to bring those. Gatorade and water provided. Some hills, but mostly light rolling hills. No big hills. still needed to be aware so that I didn't kill myself on the gradual up hills.
