Transition 1
Bike
Comments: I was the bike portion of a relay, so I just hammered away. The average was good for it being cold, wet, & all-around miserable. On a better day, I think 19mph would have been achievable. What would you do differently?: Bring a kayak. Transition 2

Post race
Warm down: Warm down? At what point was I ever warm? Event comments: I'd rate this race higher if they were more organized on the shuttles & transition areas. For a group that preaches requirements - like having to attend the pre-race briefing - they were very lax about security at T1 & T2. I was walking in & out as I pleased and didn't have any of my race markings visible at all. Oh well, maybe they'll get it together next year. I'm not sure if I'll try it next year or not, given how early you have to get up for all the extra shuttling around. Last updated: 2009-10-12 12:00 AM

Rode around a lot as we completed the Bataan Death March to Joe Pool.
There was a whole lot of standing around and shivering in the drizzle while I waited for the swimmers to start.
