Pre-race routine:

Had some toast need to choke that down. Ken right on time, and Tam and Evan right behind. P/u stuff and chip. Forgot race belt.
Event warmup:

Did a short run with Ken.

  • 55m 20s
  • 6.2 miles
  • 08m 55s  min/mile
Comments:

Walked to start with the gang and decided to let Ken start up from there. Headed to mid pack.
Ran with Tam and Evan for a while then they moved ahead. I was in the race to earn eating rights today so the longer I ran the more I could eat, right?
Pretty uneventful. Had a little conversation with a girl from Baltimore about the Chesapeakemaan and FLIM. Just ran. Did my public service duty by letting a lot of people pass me in the chute. Thanks for cheering me on Tam.
What would you do differently?:

This training thing I hear about might be a good idea.
Not have a cold the week before,
Not cramp the calf two days before.

Post race
Warm down:

Walked and got water. Met up with Ken, Tam and Evan. Walked got food and took off.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Breathing was still off from cold.

Event comments:

Easier run them the 2000 that did the turkey Trot in Webster. This one is laid out better no turn right off the bat.
