Swim
Comments: Felt more comfortable than last year, though exact same time. Transition 1
Comments: Dropped cap on ramp and bent down to retrieve it. Bike
Comments: Expected to be cold to start, but was not. Very comfortable. Felt like I was going quite a bit better than last year, though time was only 1:30 faster. Climbed and descended very well. Transition 2
Comments: Switched Garmin from bike to wrist...cost a few seconds. Run
Comments: Pace was all over the place due to the terrain. Very few places to really get a feel for how I was feeling. Coming out of the pit was just hateful. In addition to the climbing, there was a headwind. My hamstring was not much of an issue on the run, but my feet took a beating. My PF had my arches screaming the whole way. 4 ibuprofen before getting off the bike did not do the job. Post race
Warm down: Tried to walk off the cramping in my calves that gripped me after finishing. Went down to the lake with the family to soak legs in the cool water. That felt great! What limited your ability to perform faster: Injuries and fatigue from IM training. Event comments: Always done very well. Last updated: 2009-10-15 12:00 AM
