A better first run than I expected, having been sick the week before. Actually ran the whole thing, including the monster hill!

Wind was not exactly optimal. I'm actually a little discappointedin my overall time. I thought I'd at least be able to average 15 mph, but I guess this time does include T1 and T2 as well. I thought I did pretty well on the hills (actually caught people on the hills) but as typical was not as speedy on the downhill (where they caught back up with me).

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Being sick the week before, for sure. Mostly just not being as good of a runner and cyclist as the other people there. Without the swim, I have no edge!

Event comments:

I wasn't going to do it knowing how cold it was last year, but then got talked into it. Even though it's cold, and I am competing against better runners and cyclists I still really enjoy this race. It gives me a chance to focus on my weaknesses and I'm glad that I participated.
