Swim
Comments: Really was good...could have seeded myself higher in the swim, but was only passed by one person and only passed 3 or 4 so i think most people cushioned their swim times. What would you do differently?: Keep practicing my front crawl so eventually I can do a swim with that stroke instead! Transition 1
Comments: Great transition for my...one of my fastest yet...had to put on a long sleeve jersey cuz i was FREEZING but other than that, i felt it went well What would you do differently?: Not put on socks (was made fun of that by a friend) just get over the fact that I was cold and go. Bike
Comments: Really need to work on hills during the off season. Will go ride a local overpass so I can practice the uphill horribleness that I deal with What would you do differently?: Go stronger on the hills. really need to work on that!!! felt comfortable the whole ride for the most part...just need to get stronger Transition 2
Comments: Great transition for me! super excited that i did my best!!! What would you do differently?: Nothing! Run
Comments: Very excited that this was a PR for me. I liked this course because I was easily able to do my run/walk combination because of the fire hydrants that were on the course. The construction at the end of the course was a little frustrating but I would do this course again in a heart beat. What would you do differently?: This is the thing I need to work on the most...my run. Truthfully though, I did PR this run so that is super exciting but i would like to not be the slowest in my Age group Post race
Warm down: Walked around and stretched a little. My mom brought my some chocolate milk that has extra protein in it. We walked down to the run course to watch for my dad (it was his first tri and we wanted to cheer him on as it looked like he was going to be the last on the run course.) What limited your ability to perform faster: Truthfully, I think my weight limited me. This will be another something that i work on during the off season (i am starting a huge list here) Event comments: Great race...I hope they keep it for next year! I even emailed the race director to say they should keep this race!! Last updated: 2009-10-19 12:00 AM

My friends and I decided to stay at a Hotel in Denton so we wouldn't have to wake up quite so early. So, when i woke up i ate my normal race breakfast, bread with peanut butter and cut up banana's on it. We got to the race, got marked, set up transition and then waited for my parents to get there.
Did a slight jog to warm up and then just stretched to keep warm and get the muscles ready!!!
