Pre-race routine:

Ate a beagle with PB and banana about 2-1/2 hrs prior to race. Picked up race packet and at a Powerbar about 30 mins before start. Sipped on water up until race time.
Event warmup:

Easy jogging for about 10 minutes and then some light stretching - tried to stay warm!

Comments:

Felt good out of the gate, but the sidewalks were too narrow during the first 2 miles and it made it hard to pass slower runners. Did a lot of running on the grass. Held right around an 8:00/mile pace throughout the race, had enough left in the tank to run a 7:13 over the last mile.
What would you do differently?:

Start closer to the front.

Warm down:

Walked around, ate some banana's and did some stretching.

Headfirst Performance always puts on a great event! I'll be back next year for sure!
