Comments: Felt good. My goal was a 7:30 pace and ended up going a bit faster. I haven't been running much lately, so I didn't want to be wasted for the rest of the race. What would you do differently?: Run faster. Transition 1
Comments: After I got my cycling shoes on decided I needed to ditch the pants. Wasted about 30 seconds on that. What would you do differently?: Should have thought ahead on the pants. Bike
Comments: Couldn't go as fast as I had wanted. Definitely need to train more for the bike segment. Transition 2
Comments: Went well enough. Run
Comments: Initially calves cramped up, followed by about a mile my legs feeling like jelly. I think I finished well. Post race
Warm down: Got water and a banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. I decreased my running and cycling training after my last tri, so I could increase my weight training. Next year I'm going to continue training up until this race, because I've got a solid chance of placing. Event comments: Aside from the crappy weather at the very beginning this was a good race. Coffee, turkey sausage, and fiber one cereal. It was cold and misting. Tough to get pumped.
