Pre-race routine:

Coffee, turkey sausage, and fiber one cereal. It was cold and misting. Tough to get pumped.

Felt good. My goal was a 7:30 pace and ended up going a bit faster. I haven't been running much lately, so I didn't want to be wasted for the rest of the race.

After I got my cycling shoes on decided I needed to ditch the pants. Wasted about 30 seconds on that.

Should have thought ahead on the pants.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of training. I decreased my running and cycling training after my last tri, so I could increase my weight training. Next year I'm going to continue training up until this race, because I've got a solid chance of placing.

Aside from the crappy weather at the very beginning this was a good race.
