Run
Comments: I went out fast for me and kept a steady pace through 20 miles. Started to feel fatigued on the 14th st bridge. Difficult run through Crystal City. Walked through all water stops What would you do differently?: I think my preparation was really good. I volunteered at the Brooks booth at the Expo on Friday and spent from 9:00 AM until 7:30 PM on my feet. I will not do this again. Post race
Warm down: Walked for about one mile. Ate at Cafe Asia. drank lots of water and Powerade What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing Event comments: Very organized with lots of spectators that really cheered everyone on. The bands that are stationed throughout really helped to keep me going. The Marines throughout were upbeat and very enthusiastic. Having the medal hung around my neck by a Marine Corp officer was really emotional for me. Last updated: 2009-10-26 12:00 AM
