Swim
Comments: My sighting was very poor. I probably swam an extra 75 meters. Overall, the swim was good. What would you do differently?: I need to work on sighting. Transition 1
Comments: With a small triathlon the transition area was pretty small, so the transition was easy. It was well laid out for the room they had to work. What would you do differently?: Not much Bike
Comments: My bike was pretty good. I purposely backed off from the pace from my previous tris. I wanted to save more for the run. Also, the large hill in the middle of the course was pretty challenging for me since I outweigh my competitors by 50-75 lbs. What would you do differently?: Not much. Transition 2
Comments: I had a gu and some water. I took my time to relax a bit. What would you do differently?: Not much. Easy transition. Better conditioning will allow me to work through the transition. Run
Comments: I started out better on this run since I saved my legs on the bike. However, the first hill made it clear this was going to be challenging. What would you do differently?: This was one of my better runs so far. I dropped almost 30 seconds per mile off my time even with the hills. Post race
Warm down: Just walked around What limited your ability to perform faster: Weight... Same as always. Event comments: For a first year event this was great. Everything seemed organized and I felt safe on the roads and there were plenty of volunteers. I plan on doing this again next year. Last updated: 2005-10-05 12:00 AM

Had coffee in the morning. Setup my transition and went to warm up. Had a gu and water about 15 minutes before the start.
Jogged about a 1/2 mile then did an out and back about 200 meters to warm up for the swim.
