  • 56m 27s
  • 5.83 miles
  • 09m 41s  min/mile
Comments:

Chip time 56:12. Was looking to break 1 hour in a 10k for the first time. I wish the course had been full length, as I was on pace to hit 59:45. Maybe at the Turkey Trot.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Decent race.
Post race
Warm down:

Pancakes and breakfast sausage from IHOP.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not planning or training for this race. But given that it was a PR it bodes well for the upcoming half mary.

Event comments:

Decent race, especially for an inaugural event. If they can get the course issues figured out (some people missed turns...please don't send them on any trail runs). 2 water stops (each of which you pass twice) is more than enough for a 10K. However, putting all 4 water opportunities in the first 3.5 miles and then having nothing after that would be really disappointing if the weather were warm.
