Swim
Comments: Started out too fast and died between 250 and 300 meters. Totally worn out. Had too much adrenalin and did not swim my race. What would you do differently?: Relax, slow down and watch my pace. Practice open water swimming. Transition 1
Comments: Worn out from the bad swim. It took me too long to recover. Got my HR up in the 170's during the swim and had trouble getting it down. Bike
Comments: Can't say it enough, the swim killed me. It took me a while to recover while on the bike. What would you do differently?: If I control my swim I feel I'll do better in the bike. I'm going to increase my bike training by doing farther distances and speed work. Transition 2
Comments: Did not do bad here, by the end of the bike ride I felt good. There was a lot of down hill and flat at the end to help me get my HR under control. Had a little trouble getting my running shoes on (Lost a couple of seconds doing this) What would you do differently?: Loosen my running shoe a little to help get them on quicker. Run
Comments: Felt great. What would you do differently?: Train at greater distances and do speed work to get my time down. Was running at my pace about a 9:00 Min mile. Need to get this under an 8:00 Min mile. Post race
Warm down: Felt good, had an 1:30 drive, was very tired when I got home. Legs (Thighs) were a little sore after the race, on race day. Sunday and Monday felt good. What limited your ability to perform faster: As mentioned, my swim Event comments: For my first race this was a great experience. Had a great time everything was easy to follow and well planned. Look very forward to this race next year!!!!! Last updated: 2009-10-27 12:00 AM
