Comments: I was 131/170 women. For my very first open water swim I was pretty happy overall. I kept getting kicked at the end by women who were doing breast stroke. Lots of salt water in my mouth...yuck! What would you do differently?: Close my mouth more. Start in the middle....I was one of the last one to leave as I wanted to give people some space and feel the whole thing out. Transition 1
Comments: I had my gear set up well. I pulled on the wrong part of my shoe lace which cost me 10 seconds. What would you do differently?: I should have ran with my water rather than taking a couple drinks then running out. Run
Comments: It felt sooooo much longer than a 5K race. I was completely wiped for the first 2k and psyching myself out to walk for a bit, but I pushed through it and even sprinted at the end! What would you do differently?: Train more beforehand, specifically for longer distances 8-10k and do bricks to simulate a real event. Post race

Not much!? Walked 20 minutes to get to MRT, then swam 2 quick laps to test out new gear
