Pre-race routine:

I finnished the half marathon at 8:30 and I decided to stay at the Pettit until the relay. Hung out with Pete, DJ, Stacey, Nicole and Heidi. Got a much need massage! and tried to eat and drink whatever I could keep down

Nada..I had no desire to run any extra laps than I need to on the oval!

Comments:

What a blast! (easier to say that now then it was during the race :))Djdavey, Bschraff and Heidi were my teammates. Out of the 69 teams we came in 8th! 3 of us had run the half marathon 5 hours prior so to do what we did is awesome. We also won the "mixed" division..beating out a couple of the running store teams. :)

I personally had a pretty crappy run but I was also trying to run smart and stay upright :) Support from the donkeys including our opponents "One lucky donkey" helped so much.
What would you do differently?:

Umm....not run a half marathon 5 hours earlier ;)

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I was dehydrated from the earlier race. I had some water, some powerade and some bread in between the 2 races but my stomach does not handle the race intensity very well.

Event comments:

Not quite sure how to log this one..I am so PROUD of my team. Yes we were all hurting to some extent and no we did not stick to our plan but in the end it worked! We stuck it out for each other. I think we exemplified team work to its fullest extent.
