Run
Comments: Probably could have pushed a bit harder. Transition 1
Comments: This was actually going from bike to run. My transition times were basically the same as the firts place guy, so no room for improvement here. Bike
Comments: This was my fastest pace at a race yet. Around mile 1, someone caught me. She settled in to my pace. If I lifted, she lifted. When I slowed to let her lead, she slowed. So I kicked. I got a little gap but then she out kicked me. I don't know why she had decided to pace off of me when she was faster. What would you do differently?: This was my fastest run in a race since college (20 years ago). I just need to keep working and improving. Transition 2
Run
What would you do differently?: Based on the time trial I would do later in the day, I had more room to push harder and did not utilize it. Post race
Warm down: Drank Endurox, and started hitting the protein. I had a road bike time trial later in the day to get ready for. What limited your ability to perform faster: Mental. I need to get cozier with that burning felling. Event comments: This is the first time that Run-Far has botched timing an event. The age groups for the men are a mess. Guys who should have placed were in the wrong age group. Guys who did place had times that should not have been a placing. At the awards, the guys called up in my AG were slower than me. But then I get called up in the next AG. I'm not sure how the results actually are shaking out. Last updated: 2009-11-01 12:00 AM

Changed flat tire on car en route to race. Based on time, I could have a fall back career as pit crew.
This race format was 10 mile bike, 3 mile run, 10 mile bike, so the results below may look skewed.
The runs below are bike split sand the bike split is actually my run.
20 minute run.
