Pre-race routine:

Drank a ton of coffee, ate a PB&J, my daughters leftover eggs and then a slice of toast with jelly. Drove down sipping more coffee. Sipped my Generation UCAN drink.
Event warmup:

Ran around looking for a bathroom. Did not see the portapotties until right before the start and by then it was to late.

Comments:

Seeding bothers me a lot especially when people are walking within the first mile.
What would you do differently?:

Seed better. I think I could have dropped 60-90s off my time. Maybe not wear racing flats? Legs feel fine.

Use a bathroom.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked grabbed some chowder then beer and hit the massage table. Ate/drank afterward and hit the road. I was in a bit of a rush. I think the masseuse may have inappropriately touched me.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Bit under the weather, and poor seeding. Not using a bathroom.

Event comments:

Honestly for $22 this might be the best value race I have ever done. Long sleeve shirt (too big), but fruit, water, myoplex, chowder, bread, beer and massage afterward. Great course. I think 2 water stations. I did not stop. Great race. I will be back.
