![]() Run
Comments: Considering my lack of training (I haven't run 10k since last year's race and only over 4 miles five times in the last year) I did what I wanted to: go sub-60. Race itself was exactly as planned: run sub-60 pace (9:39) for first 4 miles then bring it in quicker to a strong finish. Mission accomplished. Highlight - my wife brought the kids out to the mile 1 1/4 point so I was able to run over and highfive/greet them. First race where I've had all 3 kids on the course. Cool. What would you do differently?: Train more. Weigh less. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walk around, quick on-site stretch, grab some water, bagel & banana, then head home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. Event comments: As usual, low-key race in which the focus is on the run and not much else. I enjoy it. Last updated: 2009-11-03 12:00 AM
