Course: The Silverman 1.2 mile swim will take place in the historic Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Home to one of the engineering wonders of the world. The Silverman half will follow the Silverman full approximately 1 hour after the start of the Silverman full race. This will be a wave start. The course consists of one diamond loop that goes out and back in counter clockwise fashion with large orange buoys every 250 yards. Within the swim you have a number of opportunities to view islands outcropping as well as massive cliff features that will surely take your mind off the pain. There will be a number of lifeguards, kayaks and safety craft throughout the course of the swim. You will exit the swim and proceed up the ramp to the changing tents and transition area. The normal water temperature for this time of the year is 68-72 degrees and clear.

Course: The Silverman 56 mile bike course is one of uniqueness, beauty, rolling hills and a few memorable climbs, but we are sure you will pay more attention to the beauty of the winter desert. As you leave the transition area you will take a right onto Lake Shore Drive proceeding west to SR 147/167 through Lake Mead National Recreation Area until the turn around near Calville Bay. Follow SR 167 back till you take a right and exit Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Lake Mead Parkway will then take you under Lake Mead Parkway tunnel onto the New River Mountains Trail Loop. Completion of the loop will bring you to Foothill Dr, from here you will take the new Union Pacific Trail to Mission Hills Road. Take Mission North and take a right onto Horizon Ridge. Horizon Ridge will then take you to Cielo Alberto Dr.where you will take a right. Follow this to Paseo Verde and take a left. You will follow for approx 2 miles into the transition area located at the Henderson Multigenerational Center.
