Comments:

A PR that solidly met the goal I was shooting for. 1st mile was a good pace but started too fast, first 1/4 mile was sub 5 min pace (1:14, a good interval on the track), first 1/2 mile was at 5:20 pace. Through the middle of the race pace wandered from 5:50's then slowed to 6:30's, refocused and back to 5:50's. Got passed by 3 of the faster half-marathoners around mile 1.5-2.5 when my pace was suffering the most. 2 of them passsed as a pair chatting away, those dudes are fast.
What would you do differently?:

Not much, the plan was to go out about 5:30 pace then hang on and see what happens. A more thorough plan would have maintained a little more restraint at the start and keep focused better through the middle.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched, grazed, and hung out for the half-marathon finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

had a sore throat, cough, and runny nose for a couple days but it was better yesterday afternoon.

Event comments:

Know the course, this race had a few twists in order to get the 5k, half, and full marathon to start and finish at the same places. One of the full marathoners had a sweet race going, unfortunately he missed his turn and finished the half in about 1:26, a fine time but not what he was planning. The overall women's 5k winner missed a turn but got back on track okay.
