Run
Comments: Very crowded slow start- lots of dodging around etc.. eventual got to a comfortable pace- still a lot of "traffic", tough to know what pace was- gun time vs seed time not known & hrm/watch not working...might not have hurt, but certainly didn't help.Temp was ok- and precip was light to mist during the actual run .Didn't bring my own drink- wish I had- felt a bit off last 1/2 - 3/4 mile...couldn't kick it up much to sprint in- actually felt nauseous at finish -took a few minutes to feel ok & have a drink... What would you do differently?: seed in the group ahead. Be tuned in to pace & splits.better pre race nutrition/hydration & bring own mid race drink. Post race
Warm down: walked around til nausea passed, drank some water & had a piece of bread (that sat like a rock !) What limited your ability to perform faster: I need to be more serious about a plan/nutrition & pacing if I want to truly see what I can do. Too random- on the other hand I enjoyed the crowd, the run itself was fun- I imagined the course on a sunny day...and it was neat to see Joan Benoit-Samuelson in person as well as be inspired by those FAST women! Event comments: Fun to experience a race of this size & history... Met Nikki from BT briefly- nice to put a human face with the virtual training person...! Last updated: 2005-10-10 12:00 AM

a little over an hour to get in- easy parking in the garage- drank a water on the way in so needed a bathroom first-started raining pretty hard just as I came over the bridge into Boston. Registered- looked for lost & found meeting place for BTers- wasn't one! so decided to change clothes (too warm)
jogged & stretched a little- once in "seed group" just tried to keep moving....
