Run
Comments: I told myself I was going to run this as a tempo run, and I think that's the only way I don't go out too hard, because I think my pacing was absolutely perfect for this one. 7:20 or so for mile 1, 7:10 for the next two miles then 6-something to finish where I had a solid kick to finish. Passed a bunch of people the last mile, only got passed by one person. I had about 30 seconds in me I think but it was a good run, I'm biking tomorrow so this run wasn't exactly an A race so I'm very happy with the way it went. One thing: the official results had me at 29:09, but they started everyone at the exact same time and it took me a half minute to get to the official start line. I had my watch timing myself and I trust what I have because I hit it right at the start line and finish line. I'm fine with the extra time, this wasn't a big race for me, but it is annoying. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Great run. Post race
Warm down: quarter mile jog, quick stretch then a few beers. Maybe more than a few :) What limited your ability to perform faster: Being a bad runner? Yeah, that sounds about right. Event comments: Great race, for a town 4-miler Somerville puts on a great run. Definitely something I'll be coming back for years for. Last updated: 2009-11-11 12:00 AM
